About the Texas State Forest Festival
Hosted and produced by the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce and presented by Brookshire Brothers, the Texas State Forest Festival is a beloved East Texas tradition that brings more than 13,000 people to Lufkin and Angelina County each year. From thrilling competitions and delicious festival food to carnival rides, live entertainment, and family-friendly attractions, the four-day celebration showcases the very best of our community.
The 2026 Texas State Forest Festival will take place September 17-20 at the George H. Henderson, Jr. Exposition Center. Each year, the Festival is made possible by the dedication of more than 200 volunteers who contribute approximately 2,500 hours to bring this signature event to life, making it one of the premier annual celebrations in Deep East Texas.
